Application Deadline Extended for ANCHOR Property Tax Relief Program
Last week, Governor Phil Murphy announced that the State is extending the application deadline for the new Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters (ANCHOR) property tax relief by one month to January 31, 2023. Also, tenants who had previously been ineligible because their units are under PILOT (Payment in Lieu of Taxes) agreements are now eligible to apply for the benefit.
City Hall Closed – 11/24/22 & 11/25/22
City Hall will be closed on Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th. We will reopen on Monday, November 28th.
Trails During Hunting Season (November 1 – December 31)
ORDINANCE NO. 03-2017
The trails are closed from November 1 – December 31 (excluding Sundays) with the exemption of hunting and trapping license holders. The general public is prohibited from accessing or otherwise utilizing Open Space Properties in the City of Port Republic during Hunting Season.
Construction Official – Change of Hours
The Construction Official will not be in the office on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. He will be in on Sunday, November 13th from 4 pm – 6 pm.

Port Republic is accepting applications for CONVENIENCE CENTER ATTENDENT in the Department of Public Works. This is a part-time position, with working hours being Wednesdays 12 pm – 8 pm and Saturdays 8 am – 4:30 pm.
